Ethiopian Airlines resumes Moscow operations and adds Istanbul

Ethiopian Airlines to service Istanbul and Moscow.

Ethiopian Airlines will be resuming flights to Moscow, Russia in November, after having previously served the route until May 1991. The flight will include a stop-over in Istanbul, Turkey.

Ethiopian Airlines Regional Manager for South Africa, Abel Alemu told Tourism Update that the airline will start operating its Addis Ababa – Istanbul – Moscow Sheremetyevo route on November 15.

The route will be serviced by a Boeing 787-8 aircraft four times a week, every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 

The flight schedule is as follows:

  • ET760: Addis Ababa (ADD) 00h30 –Istanbul (IST) 04h40. Depart 05h40 –Moscow (SVO) 09h20.
  • ET761: Moscow (SVO) 21h00 – Istanbul (IST) 22h45. Depart 23h45 – Addis Ababa (ADD) 06h05 +1.
