Ol Tukai Lodge Amboseli in Kenya’s Amboseli National Park, has opened a new adventure club for children of all ages, EleFun Club.
The club engages with children in a myriad of activities while parents, grandparents and/or chaperones unwind. The sports activities give the children a chance to engage in physical activities as well as make friends, develop skills, learn teamwork, and build self-esteem.
Activities include a variety of board games (Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Chess, Ludo, Snakes and Ladders), and Monopoly, as well as table tennis, video games, swimming pool activities (water polo, swimming competitions), races (100 metres, sack, three-legged, piggy back, relay, spoon and potato and more), musical chairs, tug of war, ball games (volleyball and mini football), beading, painting and modelling.
The adventure activities are a learning moment too for the little ones, as they have the opportunity to learn about the wildlife and local plants at Amboseli National Park under the guidance of the lodge’s resident naturalist. All this is done during excursions on a bird-watching adventure and adventurous nature walks.
Cultural activities allow children to learn all about the Maasai people and their culture. Children will learn battle songs and dances, as well as sit down for African storytelling sessions.
