#RevivalShowcase: Amangwane Camp in Kosi Bay, northern KwaZulu-Natal

Amangwane Camp is uniquely located in the northeast corner of South Africa, with direct access to the pristine beaches and lakes of the Kosi Bay area. The iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a World Heritage Site, manages and protects the fauna and flora of this large undisturbed coastal and marine reserve.

Days are spent exploring the lake system, experiencing the old tradition of the fish traps, snorkelling in the estuary, kayaking, turtle tracking in season, walking through magnificent fern forests and seeing the rare Palm Nut Vultures, boat cruises on the lakes viewing hippos, crocs, and the magnificent birdlife. Community visits and local school interaction are also encouraged as the camp is located within a large community area.

Amangwane accommodation consists of 10 permanent tents with en-suite showers, toilets, and hand basins. All the tents are the same, consisting of two single beds with a bedside table, mosquito nets, a plug-point (no hairdryers or kettles please) and with all bedding and bath towels supplied.
