During a webinar on Friday (June 25, at 14h30), SATSA will provide an update of its UK lobby campaign run in conjunction with PR and strategy consultancy, Eterna Partners, to advocate for the removal of South Africa from the UK’s Red List and resumption of travel between the UK and Southern Africa by October 2021.
“We’ll be sharing with members, among others, an update on where we’re at with the project and the progress made over the past month and a half, including the engagements we’ve had with media and at a political level,” said a SATSA spokesperson.
The panellists will be CEO of SATSA, David Frost, CMO of Wesgro, Monika Iuel, tourism consultant, Gillian Saunders, and Director of Eterna Partners, Nigel Fairbrass.

#Traveldayofaction
Meanwhile trade bodies from across the aviation and travel industries in Britain are participating in an industry day of action (#traveldayofaction) today (June 23) to put pressure on the UK Government to support a safe return to international travel.
The day of action will involve an organised lobby at the Houses of Parliament, which will see MPs meet with a large number of their constituents at Westminster on a single day.
